  1. Here's the lyrics as well as I can make out:

    whatever I sympathised with before
the clown that could frown, smile, and cry inside
and all of these folks (??) did ignore
his tears just rolled down like the tide

he seems to spend his life just wandering on the shore
just kicking stones and heron bones
but now he'll search no more
    search for the sea

hmm how slowly you finally find
    what you're looking for

-- there's some bits I can't understand because there's two people singing at once --

    shine on smiley face
    that's what we're paying for

ten thousand and one black stars he did shine
deep down he feels dark and alone inside
there he could splash that close full moon brine
and reach round a hand for his injured pride

he seems to spend his life just wandering on the shore
just kicking stones and heron bones
but now he'll search no more
    search for the sea
